Progressing in Revive Healthcare Training
All staff are required to complete a
personal development
plan (2 pages maximum). We realise that for many of you this will be a new
concept, however there are few professional organisations that don’t have some
form of personal development and review process. We are no exception.
We (as well as you) want to maximise your own (and hence Revive’s) earning
potential. Therefore, as you can see on this page we have provisionally set out
our ‘vision’ of progression within Revive.
To progress in Revive you have to complete a yearly PDP and have a satisfactory
performance review. The number of promotions is dependent upon how the company
is doing, how many people apply for promotion and where the Directors want the
company to go—this is also no different to most private businesses.
To progress within the company you will need to demonstrate a set of core
competencies at the level you are currently working at, as well as demonstrating
the skills needed at the next. We know this takes training and we aim to assist
you in your training. However funds are not unlimited and as such you may have
to fund some training yourself. Each level requires an increased level of
commitment and you’ll have to evaluate yourself as to whether you can give that
commitment to the company (especially if this isn’t your only job).
Whilst the ‘grades’ require further discussion and agreement, at this stage we
set our below our anticipated exemplar competencies for each instructor grade.
We’d be interested in your feedback.
· Instructor / Examiner—Evidence of
instruction examination of first aid, good personal skills.
· Senior Instructor / Examiner—HSE
Registration and further evidence of formal instruction/examination skills;
ability to supervise others.
· Managing Instructor/Examiner—Ability
to manage an account for all courses required; ability to evaluate other’s
instruction/examination.
· Assistant Director—Highly developed
account management skills; ability to supervise, evaluate and direct others.
That’s about all we’ve room for, but it gives you the general idea. If you’ve
any feedback please let us know. The
flowchart can be found here.
